About Trails End Log Homes and it's crew.
Trails End Log Homes actually started as Paradise Log
Homes 30 years ago by me. In 1997 I changed the name to
Trails End Log Homes. Prior to that time I worked in the
woods to put myself through Architecture at the University of
Oregon. Then I worked for the US Forest service learning about
the different species of woods that were being used for construction
and Log Home Building. I became a timber cruiser and a
certified log scalier. Later I worked for various companies in
construction and a window and door company becoming the head of
there shop.
All of this experience helped me to be able to
design and build Log Homes. Many of my home designs have been
featured in log home magazines such as Country's Best log homes
and Log Home Living of which my home was one in 12
selected in the US for there calendar in 2007; it's
August. In 1985 my son started helping with the business
and is now one of the best log home builders in the North
West. We travel all over the US building log homes and would
be glad to help you.
I have now been doing consulting for other log home
companies and contractors for several years and will go to job
sites or answer questions about log homes for any body who needs
help or just a second opinion. Or more importantly fixing
improperly ordered or designed log homes.
On this web site there are several articles that I have
written to help you in picking your log home company and your new
home.
I hope your log home experience is a good one.
Dan Barnett.
